Pendulum's Rob Swire tweets spilt NEWS
Rob Swire frontman for Australian dance rock band Pendulum announced on his Twitter account that the band have split up.
Pendulum's songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rob Swire took to Twitter to announce the band have called it quits after 10 years together.
Swire, who used his official Twitter account @rob-swire, wrote: 'There will be no further Pendulum live shows. There are no current plans for a new album in 2013,' reported NME.com.
The songwriter, who is touring with a new project Knife Party', was asked about the future of Pendulum by Australian radio station Triple J. He confirmed that he will be concentrating on this new side-project and that it is now high on his priority list.
He said: 'The Knife Party thing is going well we don't feel like going back to junior school anytime soon.'
He added 'We're having too much fun with this project. It's also great because Pendulum towards the end sort of felt like we were doing it because we had to and that's never a fun way to do music. Whereas Knife Party is pretty much solely us doing what we want to and if no one likes it we don't care.'
NME.com reported that Pendulum look as if they are set to continue with Paul El Hornet Harding and Ben The Verse Mount.
Rob told his fans on Twitter: Relieved everything is out in the open now, band-wise.
