Pete Doherty has fled to Paris to escape the ghost of Amy Winehouse haunting his flat

Anyone who has heard of Pete Doherty, the Junkie singer of Indie band Babyshambles, knows that he is partial to the odd spirit or two.

But according to The Sun the troubled rocker wasn't quite expecting the kind of spirits that he has recently been seeing in his home.

The paper reported today that the singer has decided to pack up and leave London and flee in terror to Paris because he says that his close friend Amy Winehouse is haunting his flat.

The singer is not the only person to see Amy's ghostly image, as just days after her tragic death photographs were released on the internet revealing a ghostly image peering out of her second floor window of her London flat.

The Libertines frontman has told his friends that the spirit of Amy Winehouse has visited him three or four times in his Camden flat which is just yards from where the singer died in July.

He claimed that he has seen Amy's reflection in his windows and her ghostly image has visited him in his bedroom a number of times.

The 'What A Waster' singer told his friends that he is fleeing to Paris as he is too scared to stay in his London pad.

His friend said 'He is utterly convinced that he has seen her ghost,'adding 'A lot of people will think his visions are probably drug induced but he claims that he is clean.' Reported The Sun newspaper.

Amy Winehouse was a very close friend of Pete Doherty, and following her death he was left broken hearted, so much so that he was unable to attend her funeral to pay his last respects, but dedicated his last concert to her memory.
