The House of Annie Lennox at V&A

An exuberant exhibition of the life and inspirations of singer Annie Lennox has launched at London's Victoria and Albert Museum.

Everything from dramatic stage costumes to cleverly cheeky video outfits and the matching suits that adorned Annie and Dave Stewart as part of the 'Eurhythmics' style can be viewed at the 'House of Annie Lennox' exhibition.

The display was launched in London in mid-September and will be open for 5 months for public viewing.

Exhibits will include iconic outfits such as the union flag suits worn by the 'Eurhythmics' at the 1999 Brit Awards and various flamboyant dresses and head-wear from many a pop video.

The Aberdeen-born singer was said to be 'thrilled and delighted' at the prospect of the collection being open to the public. Careful cataloguing of all her memorabilia had recently made her re evaluate the worth of a career-worth of collectables and she was happy to air them and display them in a manner that they could be best appreciated.

The exhibition features costumes and accessories worn by the singer, together with photographs, personal treasures and awards. The exhibition gallery will also include recorded interviews and music videos.
