Zoe Wanamaker will be appearing at the Duke of York's Theatre in spring 2013 in Peter Nichol's dark comedy 'Passion Play'.
Prior to the London run of shows, the play will appear at the Richmond Theatre in Surrey from 12-20th April, then appearing at Brighton's Theatre Royal from 23-27th April 2013. The show will be directed by British theatre director David Leveaux, who has been nominated for five Tony Awards as director of both plays and musicals.
American-born Wanamaker has a long and distinguished career on stage and television. She has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company, in films, including Harry Potter, and on the hit TV series My Family alongside Robert Lindsay.
Leveaux directed Wanamaker in Electra in London's West End, before it transferred to Broadway back in 1998.
Passion Play tells the story of an art dealer named James who embarks on a passionate affair with a younger woman. Despite Eleanor, his wife, finding out about the affair, James continues his tryst whilst telling his wife that he has ended the affair.
