Christy Moore is an Irish folk singer/songwriter from Co. Kildare. In 2007 he was named 'Ireland's Greatest Living Musician' in RTE's 'People of the Year' Awards. With a career spanning from 1969-2009 and 24 albums to his name, Christy Moore has seen much success. He started his career as a founding member of the band 'Planxty' and went on to be a solo artist later, often including an Irish Republican tone to his lyrics. His latest album 'Listen' was released in 2009.<
