When signed to their record label in 1998, the John Butler Trio consisted of John Butler (Australian guitarist and vocalist), Jason McGann on drums and Gavin Shoesmith on bass guitar. The line up later changed to be as it is today with Nicky Bomba on percussion and Brian Luiters on bass guitar. The trio have collectively released 5 studio albums to date and seen huge success in their native Australia. Their latest album was released in 2010 and is titled 'April Uprising'.
