Famed for his success with the band 'The Jam' from 1976-82, Paul Weller is considered to be a successful national, rather than international musician.
His lyrics are rooted in British culture and he is often associated with the 1970s/80s 'mod-revival', earning him the title the 'Modfather'. Weller played with 'The Style Council' until 1989 then re-established himself as a solo artist. He released 10 solo albums between 1992-2010, the latest being 'Wake up the Nation'.
