The Levellers, best known for their debut in 1989 with the hits 'England My Home and 'Carry Me'.

Founded in 88, 89 was also the same year their first EP was released ('Carry Me'). The members once consisted of Mark, Jeremy, Charlie, Jon, David and Alan. This later changed to just Mark, Jeremy, Charlie and Jon. By the 90s there were signed to China Records. This was also when their second album was released, leading to an American deal with Elektra Records. The mid to late 90s were when they were in their prime though. They were more popular then ever attracting the largest of crowds when they performed! As the 1990s ended, The Levellers' record deal shifted from China Records to Warner Brother Records. It was not long before they created their own label by 2005 called 'On The Fiddle Recordings'. The Levellers has seen great success in their time and still stands present today. You can catch them now, playing at different UK venues until their new album is released!
