An inspiring retreat that combines yoga, mindfulness, creativity and countryside walking, as well as catering for families with children.

St Katharine’s is very close to London but is a labyrinth of beautiful and peaceful spaces, including spaces that will be reserved for silence and contemplation.

The programme is diverse and exciting, and includes two separate programmes for adults and children, such as poetry readings, mindful dance, Sunday papers, football/rounders and a workshop on developing your creative self. This is in addition to four 90-minute yoga classes and numerous mindful meditations. Four 90-minute yoga classes by qualified yoga teacher, Sherin Shefik, will combine vinyasa flow with hatha and yin yoga. Each class will be designed around one of four natural elements: earth, air, fire and water. Mindfulness meditations, practices and discussions will be lead by mindfulness teacher and coach, Deborah Wharton. Children of all ages will be engaged and stretched by qualified school teacher, Shenel Shefik, who also teaches dance. Excellent local practitioners of massage and reflexology can be booked in advance or on site.

The vegetarian dining is superb and is praised for its tasty, versatile menus. Head cook, Jo Hartley, believes in using fresh, local ingredients wherever possible.

The location is approximately 30 minutes by train from London Marylebone station to High Wycombe, and costs approximately £23 return.

Most rooms are sharing with en-suite but everyone is welcome. If you are on your own we can match you to someone your age to share or you can pay a single supplement for the room.
