Alderton Arts Festival and Plays on The Mount, 3 and 4 September 2016The 40th annual Alderton Arts Festival, incorporating the annual outdoor plays on The Mount, takes place Saturday and Sunday, 3 and 4 September. All of the proceeds will be split between Saint Margaret's Church and the Milton Keynes branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Inside Saint Margaret's Church will be an exhibition and sale of over 200 original paintings by local artists, plus unframed paintings and prints. In the churchyard we'll offer entertainment, a craft fair, white elephant stall, second-hand bookstall, tombola, raffle, home produce sales, and other attractions, including an all-day barbecue. Doors open: Saturday from 10.30 a m to 6.30 p m, and on Sunday 10.30 a m to 4.30 p m. Admission is £1 and parking is free.
Across the road at The Mount there will be two open-air theatre performances by Heartbreak Productions. Murder on the Terrace at 7.00 p m on Saturday evening and Shakespeare's The Tempest at 5.00 p m on the Sunday. Founded in 1991, Heartbreak Productions is a national touring theatre company.

The Tempest: Using masks, dance and song, this merry band will transport you to Prospero’s magical isle, upon which he crafts a vengeful attack on his usurping kinsmen. Suitable for 8 years +.
