New Model Army got their start in 1979 as a sort of post punk alternative response to a music scene that had gotten too close minded and stagnant for the truly experimental. Founded as a three piece by punk veterans New Model Army made their mark with their debut album "Vengeance ." This was a sign of things to come as New Model Army put out hit after hit that combined raw guitar based rock with punk influences, coupled with socially conscious biting political lyrics. Their lyrics were so socially conscious in the 90s they were denied a work visa to play in the United States, the land of the free, of all places! Thirty years after their first gig and they haven't given up the fight! Their last studio album "Today Is A Good Day" was welcomed with outstanding reviews and now they've recommitted to hitting the road. A world tour to celebrate their longevity against all odds is in the works. Be there as New Model Army marches on!
