Availability: Monday - Saturday from March to October and every Saturday from October to March. Weekends are particularly busy, please book several weeks in advance. Weather: Gliding is weather dependent. It is crucial to call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled due to the weather it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time. Duration: The length of glider flights depends entirely on the prevailing thermal conditions. As a guide your aerotow flight should last for between 20 and 30 minutes but do allow at least two hours to get the maximum benefit from your visit. Numbers On Day: Your briefing might be shared, your flight will be held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor. Spectators: Up to six spectators are welcome to accompany you, but must follow safety directions whilst on-site. A camera or a pair of binoculars will come in handy. Why not bring a packed lunch, sit and watch for a while? Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes, bring a jumper in case it gets cold at higher altitudes and waterproofs if it's rained recently. Bring gloves in winter and sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: From the A438 Brecon - Hereford Road at Talgarth take the A479 towards Crickhowell. The centre is signposted on the left two to three miles from Talgarth. The closest rail station is Abergavenny. Restrictions: Maximum height is 6'4''. Maximum weight is 16 stone. You can't fly if you suffer from epilepsy, fainting or certain other physical or mental disabilities - check when booking. Other Info: The venue operates as a non-profit-making club and you may be asked to help others launch and retrieve their gliders while you wait your turn to glide. Hot drinks are available.

After a full flight briefing, take to the air in a dual-controlled glider with an experienced pilot to enjoy the thrills of aviation as well as beautiful views of the ground below. The glider is towed by a light air craft and at around 2,000 ft, the rope is released allowing the glider to soar and move freely in the thermal currents. During the session (at the pilot's discretion), take control of the glider to experience the pleasures of flying first-hand. This experience also includes a one month membership of the club.
