If the idea of making your own pottery has ever appealed to you, welcome to Potty Training at Cardew! Whatever your ability, our new Ceramic Studio can guide you to produce a pot whose quality will surprise you. Our friendly and fully qualified staff can offer as much or as little help as you require to slip cast, press mould, pinc, coil, kiln or raku fire and decorate through to a finished masterpiece. Our beautiful new studio offers all these services at your convenience at very reasonable cost, seven days a week.

On our free factory tour, you can see our craftsmen potters creating all sorts of wonderful ceramic designs including our world famous Cardew collecatable teapots. Most of our designs take seven painstaking days to handcraft, including at least three kiln firings.

Explore too our spacious gift shop where you will find a vast selection of unusual gifts and items, from a huge range of beautiful ceramic gifts, clocks and cushions, to baskets and bowls and even furniture and fittings, and of course the largest and most magnificent display of teapots in the whole world, all of course in the best possible taste.

INTRODUCTORY TRAINING COURSE:

Our day long (10am - 4pm) introductory course is ideal for any would-be potter. You will recieve expert guidance and participate 'hands on' with press moulding, decorating techniques, pinch potter, Raku firing and throwing, all within a coordinated programme (there will be time for a relaxed lunch in the restaurant).
