All Change at Hampton Hill

Hampton Hill Playhouse has changed its name to Hampton Hill Theatre

PRESS RELEASE June 26th 2015

ALL CHANGE AT HAMPTON HILL

Hampton Hill Playhouse changes its name to

HAMPTON HILL THEATRE

Hampton Hill Theatre is the home of Teddington Theatre Club which raised the money to create the building with the help of grants from the National Lottery and Sir Noel Cowards Estate as well as contributions from many local businesses and the generous donations given by its members and their friends. It officially opened in 1999 with a production of Jimmie Chinns play The Garden Party.

Why change the name?

Teddington Theatre Clubs Chairman, Clare Henderson Roe, says There has been some confusion in the past regarding the use of the word playhouse and we felt the time was right to rename our premises to reflect that we are, in fact, a theatre. We have a new website and facebook address, and a new logo featuring the distinctive windows.

More information can be found on www.teddingtontheatreclub.org.uk and www.hamptonhilltheatre.org.uk, and you can like us on facebook Hampton Hill Theatre.

Teddington Theatre Club brings the very best in amateur theatre to its members with a varied programme of eight main auditorium presentations and four studio productions each year. Between these, other drama and musical societies hire the theatre for their own productions and rooms can also be hired for business meetings, parties, christenings, and small wedding receptions.

Run entirely on a voluntary basis by its members, the theatre and the club have become a wonderful asset to the community.
