Health concerns for Bee Gee Robin Gibb

Fears have arisen over the health of Robin Gibb after he was pictured looking frail and then cancelled a planned meeting with Prime Minister David Cameron this weekend.

Fears have arisen over the health of Robin Gibb after he was pictured looking frail and then cancelled a planned meeting with Prime Minister David Cameron this weekend.

Robin had been due to meet up with David Cameron at Downing Street to discuss this year's official 'Poppy Appeal' song. The charity release is due to be collaboration between singing trio 'The Soldiers' and the 'Bee Gee's' with the song 'I've Gotta Get A Message to You'. The meeting went ahead without Gibb who later appeared on the 'Alan Titchmarch Show' looking gaunt.

The Bee Gees singer spent four days in hospital earlier this month suffering severe abdominal pains and was later released having been treated for inflammation of the colon. Last year he had surgery to remove part of his intestine and it was revealed if his condition had not been treated sooner, he could have died. His twin brother Maurice sadly died of Intestinal problems in 2003.

The BBC reported Gibb as stating: 'It was a shock,' he said. 'I was told my intestine could have burst at any time and I could be dead within an hour.'
