New 007 Bond film to be named

Rumours have already been circulating about the title for the next 007 James Bond film, to be revealed today.



The title for the next James Bond film will be announced later today in London.

UPDATE @ 4pm, 3rd November 2011: The title for the new James Bond film has been confirmed as 'Skyfall'.

Starring actor Daniel Craig for the third time, the film, which has been rumoured to be called 'Skyfall' is set to wow audiences in cinemas towards the end of October 2012.

The cast of the new 007 film will also be announced, although Javier Bardem has already confirmed that he will be playing a villain.

The 42-year old Oscar winning actor revealed he had been cast as he appeared on Nightline, a US news series, commenting, 'I'm very excited because my parents took me to watch the [Bond] movies and I saw all of them, so to play that is going to be fun,' he said. They chose me to play this man, but I cannot give you many details.'

Dame Judy Dench will be back as M, and Naomie Harris has also been auditioning for a role in the film.

Harris, a London born actress who appeared in two Pirates of the Caribbean movies also said that details of the forthcoming Bond film was secret, saying 'My audition was really great actually because it's so top secret, the whole Bond thing. I hadn't realised how top secret it was.'.

The twenty-third film in the Bond series of movies marks the 50th anniversary of the first ever James Bond film, Dr No, back in 1962.

The BBC has reported that the new film is likely to be partly shot in India - stating that permission has already been granted to shoot the movie in Mumbai, Delhi and Goa. If so, it will be the second 007 film to be partly shot in the Indian sub-continent after Octopussy in 1983.

It has been reported that the final scenes will be shot at Argyll's Duntrane Castle, thought to represent James Bond's ancestral home. A resident of the castle, Patricia Malcolm, revealed that 007 fans will see an 'explosive end' to the movie, adding, 'I think they are going to attack the castle from land and sea - there are going to a lot of bangs and explosions'.
