Back by popular demand, our group will present Russian heritage and culture inspired by the country's leading composers. Experience the atmosphere of Russia by taking a fascinating journey through time with masterpieces by Michail Glinka, founder of Russian classical music; melancholic melodies from the golden years of Romantic era with Sergei Rachmaninov and Peter Tchaikovsky; dramatic and stirring compositions by Soviet composers S. Prokofiev, A. Khachaturyan and A. Schnitke, also featuring folk favourites.

The extensive programme will include operatic arias, violin masterpieces, as well as arrangements for Russian National instrument balalaika.

The performers are all graduates from Russia and former USSR's Music Schools and Colleges and include virtuoso prize winning balalaika player Sergei Kosov (Moscow Gnesin Academy), Mezzo-Soprano Iryna Ilnytska, who will be a guest performer at Cygnet theatre (Milan Music Academy), prize winning violinist Yulia Northridge (Petrozavodsk Conservatorie) and concert pianist Ekaterina Shetliffe (Dargomizsky College of Music, Tula).
