The Cake and Bake Show heads to Manchester

After a phenomenal sell out launch show of The Cake and Bake show in London, which attracted 21,000 visitors, the experiential event will be taking their second edition of the show to Manchester Central Arena on 5,6 and 7 April.



The baking trend is a nation-wide phenomenon which is why The Cake and Bake Show is coming to Manchester, offering even more baking fans around the country the chance to see their favourite baking stars, take part in expert-led classes and shop for an array of baking and cake decorating equipment and delicious artisan produce.

All the most popular star speakers from the London event will be returning to the show, which includes Paul Hollywood, Eric Lanlard and Claire Clark. They will be joined by Stacie Stewart, Dan Lepard, Simon Rimmer and Andrew Nutter.

This year's Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite and many of his fellow contestants from the BBC series will be heading up a brand new feature for Manchester - The competition Theatre.

The Stars of the BBC show will be mentoring teams of competitors in a series of live bake offs.

Judges of ITV's new show, Britain's Best Bakery, Mich Turner and Peter Sidwell will be hosting their own baking challenges in the purpose built competition tent.

The Cake and Bake Show is aimed at all ages with expert-run classes and demonstrations for those looking to improve their baking and sugarcraft skills, stands selling the latest equipment from bakeware to cake decorations, plus fun interactive children's activities including decorating gingerbread men.

Other new features for the Manchester show include the 'Cake Catwalk' - a fashionista-themed cake competition, a giant gingerbread Village and the Interview Stage where visitors are given the chance to quiz their favourite baking celebrities.

A stunning array of sugarcraft skills will also be on display throughout the show, and the 'Baker Street' area will be a must for Real Bread enthusiasts.

For those who just want to enjoy good food, there will be a marketplace featuring an array of artisan produce with even more breads, scones, pies, brownies, pastries and of course cakes.
