Emma-Lee Moss is known by her stage name Emmy the Great. She is a singer-songwriter from London and has released two albums ‘First Love and ‘Virtue’. Emmy the Great was born in Hong Kong to an English father, she gets her beautiful oriental looks from her mother who is Chinese. Moss has been interested in music from a very young age, and as a child she had to travel by train to the nearest Tower records shop to purchase non-Chinese music. Emmy the Great’s debut single was released in 2006 and her debut album ‘First Love’ was released in February 2009. The album received positive reviews from the New York Times who ranked the album at No.7 in the 'Best Albums of the Year 2009'. ‘Virtue’ was released on 13 June 2011 with the album’s lead single ‘Iris’ being made available on digital download in April 2011. The singer-songwriter has collaborated with several artists such as Lightspeed Champion and Fatboy Slim. She has also worked alongside Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine and alternative rock band ‘Ash’.
