When Morgan Kibby's vocals joined forces with the ethereal sound that M83 was already producing it was a real boost to the band's contemplative nature. While M83 enjoys a very deep and layered sound at times they also know how to embrace the quietly surreal aspects of their music as well. Without a doubt much of M83's goal is to serenade as much as mystify, and bearing this in mind one can really see that their music is written for the dreamers among us. The band has found its outlet not only on albums, also on the large and small screen thanks to the film Dread and the TV show Glee. Indeed M83 has also been featured on many commercials as well including one for Red Bull and another for Victoria's Secret. They are currently touring North America and will be wrapping up in mid-2012, they may take an extended hiatus after their latest album according to Kibby.
