British indie hard rock trio "The Cribs" will be performing six dates across the country this spring, in support of their fifth studio album.
The band are currently hard at work mastering their fifth, but as of yet untitled, follow-up to the 2009 release "Ignore the Ignorant". The album is the first to be released by "The Cribs", since the departure of Johnny Marr, the legendary guitarist of "The Smiths". Marr joined the band as an official member in 2008 and remained so up until 2011, when his departure was announced by the band on their official website.
The band have high hopes for the album, which is being produced by Steve Albini, who is well known for his work with grunge icons "Nirvana" and "The Pixies".
"The Cribs" will be performing tracks from the new record, as well as fan favourites, from their eclectic back catalogue, on the upcoming tour.
The tour kicks off at Nottingham Rock City, on May 7th, and ends up in Eastbourne, on the 13th of May.
