King Edwards Road, Birmingham, West Midlands B12AAIn recent years Birmingham has quietly gained a reputation as one of Europe’s leading conference, exhibition and entertainment venues, and the ICC, as part of the NEC Group, has contributed to that reputation. ICC Birmingham is one of Europe’s greatest conference centres, with unrivalled facilities to accommodate 8,000 conference delegates. Similarly the ICC Symphony Hall, with its world class acoustics and visually stunning auditorium is known to be one of the finest concert halls in the world, accommodating over 2260 people split over four levels. The interior was modelled on the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Musikverein in Vienna.
The ICC Birmingham hosts over 500 events a year and is popular because of its location in the centre of the city, opening out on one side into Centenary Square and on the other side to the famous Birmingham canals. It has hosted everything from Royal Gala Performances to the Council of Ministers of the EU, from a European Championship Draw to the 1998 G8 Summit. It is also the home of the popular Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Its location means that visitors are only minutes away from the hundreds of bars and restaurants, the famous Jewellery Quarter, Chinese Quarter and Mailbox area as well as the distinctive Rotunda Tower and Bull Ring Shopping Centre. ICC Birmingham is a modern, exciting and vibrant venue and well worth a visit.
