Art Of Tomorrow Exhibition

Dania Lindop, Event Organiser

An art exhibition celebrating young, local talent in Huntingdonshire is being held at Huntingdon Commemoration Hall on Saturday the 21st June.

The event is free and it would be a great support to the young people taking part if you would find time to come and admire and appreciate the work that the students have to share with you.

Art of Tomorrow has been organised by Cambridge Regional College Event Management student, Dania Lindop, as part of her final major project.

As this is my final college project I would appreciate any feedback on the event so that I can include your comments in my final evaluation.

Dania decided to do this for her project as she finds that there is so little representation outside of the schools of the amazing artistic talent in the area and believes that everyone will be very shocked when entering the exhibition at the quality of the work.

The event is being funded by O2 Think Big, an organisation that gives 300 to projects run by young people that benefit the community that they live in, they also offer support and training to help the project succeed. She has also been donated a prize from Colemans to be awarded to the most creative piece of work which will be judged on the day.

I am really excited about the event and I am looking forward to the public reaction and response to the project. I am hoping to have good turn out on the day and to leave a positive impact on the community.

The exhibition is free and open to the public from 11am to 3pm for viewing; the cafe will also be open and ran by catering company, Patch.

The cafe will be open and serving refreshments throughout the event.

You will be given a programme as you enter the exhibition, for you to learn about the artists and their work.
