Finnieston Quay, City Centre, Lanarkshire G38YWThe Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre is Scotland’s biggest exhibition and convention centre and the UK’s largest venue, purpose-built to offer conference, exhibition and entertainment facilities. Capable of welcoming over 10,000 delegates and with a massive 22,355m² of exhibition and conference space over 5 halls (ranging from 775m2 to 10,065m2) the SECC offers limitless exhibition flexibility (as well as a four star hotel) all under one roof. From the famous 3000 seat Clyde Auditorium to the Loch Suite Meeting Rooms, the SECC has become an integral part of Glasgow City Centre and a symbol of the Clyde’s regeneration.
However, its excellent conference facilities aside, the SECC is best known as a concert venue with concerts taking place every other night. ‘Hall 4’ seats up to 12,500 and ‘Hall 3’ 4,200 people. As Scotland’s premier national venue for concerts and events it has hosted some of the entertainment world’s biggest names, from the Scottish National Orchestra to the Bolshoi Ballet, from Pavarotti to Celine Dion and Michael Buble. Comedians who have played there include John Bishop, Billy Connolly, Little Britain, Roy Chubby Brown, Alan Carr, Lee Evans and Peter Kay. It has hosted the MOBO awards and concerts by such wide ranging artists as Lady Gaga, Shakira, Alicia Keys, Kylie Minogue, Paul Simon, East 17, Foo Fighters, Pussycat Dolls, Snow Patrol, Take That and the Pet Shop Boys as well as Westlife, Boyzone, Coldplay, Girls Aloud, Elton John, Green Day, the Killers, Kings of Leon, Kanye West, Jay Z and Muse.
Located on the banks of the Clyde the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre is a fantastic venue in the heart of Glasgow, and provides an incredible atmosphere for any concert or performance.
