So sad to hear the news about TV legend Jimmy Savile, who died at home in Yorkshire. Jimmy was a childhood hero to those who grew up in the 70's and 80's and although some say he was a loner, he will be missed. The London Marathon just won't be the same without his familiar face.

Let's hope that Bee Gee Robin Gibb makes a recovery after cancelling a planned meeting with PM David Cameron. He was pictured looking frail and gaunt on the Alan Titchmarsh show. He's recently been suffering from severe abdominal pains, so we wish him all the best.

Iconic Madchester band The Stone Roses recently announced their reunion, and their tickets sold out for their three-gig Manchester tour in just a matter of minutes. The lucky punters will enjoy the band's first live performance in sixteen years. We're sure an be announcement of a world tour will be on the cards very, very shortly. Watch this space.

News just in, that Amy Winehouse wrote a secret album before she died, which will be released shortly. Lioness: Hidden Treasures will contain brand new material written by the singer, and produced by Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi. It is thought that the new album will be released at the beginning of December, and £1 from each album going to the Amy Winehouse Foundation charity.

The hottest tickets announced this week must be for legendary rocker Bryan Adams concert tour who will be touring the UK in November and December, Noel Gallagher, with his new band, High Flying Birds, former Beatle and musical icon Paul McCartney, who will be performing at the O2 in London, Manchester's MEN Arena, and of course his home town, Liverpool, at the Echo Arena. Expect tickets to fly. Also very popular will be tickets for Ed Sheeran's UK tour from November through to January, and hit TV phenomenon Strictly Come Dancing tour, which will see the likes of Patsy Kensit, Zoe Ball, Pamela Stephenson and Tina O'Brien tread the boards in Birmingham, Nottingham, London, Manchester, Sheffield, Liverpool, and Newcastle upon Tyne.

At the inaugural Theatre Awards UK at London's Banqueting House on Sunday, Derek Jacobi and Bertie Carvel picked up the top performance prizes for their performances as King Lear and Miss Trunchbull. Director Peter Hall was awarded with The Stage Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Theatre.

In a bizarre move, the body of a 61-year old taxi driver whose body was mummified in a scientific project may be exhibited in museums across the UK. Using 3,000-year old processes, the body of Alan Billis (who also called himself Tuten-Alan) is expected to be exhibited at museums across the country to illustrate the scientific processes involved in the mummification process.
